About Theunis
A long walk from fear to Love.
For twenty years, an honest reckoning with the gods, ghosts and inheritances that quietly shape a Life — and a slow, patient practice of choosing differently.
Theunis Pienaar is a writer, teacher, and former minister whose work is rooted in one quiet conviction: that we create our Life from all we believe — and that what we have inherited is not always what we would choose.
After years in the pulpit, he stepped away from the religion he had been given and began the longer, more honest work of finding a faith his own body could live with. The result is re-Genesis — a gentle unpicking of inherited fear, and a re-weaving of a Life of Love by your own hand.
The throughline
His writing returns again and again to a single thread: Love over Fear, met not as a slogan but as a daily, embodied practice. The Metamorphic Practice — meeting Life in the body, where belief and healing actually live — sits at the heart of his work.
What he teaches
Theunis writes for people who suspect, often quietly, that the story they were handed about who they are and what God is and what they are allowed to want is not the whole story. He writes for those who want to begin again — not by burning anything down, but by stitching, slowly, something truer.
Where he lives
He writes from South Africa, where he keeps a daily practice and an ongoing conversation with the readers and listeners who have walked some of this road with him. He posts often, and reads everything sent to him.
